The design began with the search for a structure that binds the cinema experience with the surrounding landscape. The result is a metal structure, triangular in plan with varying post configurations, framing the horizon on one side, offering a climbing frames on the other. During daytime, it is a picture frame, a piece of furniture for the beachgoers, children's playground, a pavilion, a subtle marker on the beach.
At dusk, a curtain is drawn from the storage along the periphery for movie screening. The storage cabin unfolds into a cinema entrance. Movies are screened under the soffit of a night sky. Following the display of the closing credits, the 'silver screen' is retracted and reveal the horizon again with the sea breeze and sounds of the waves washing up the beach.
